Fun in the rain (Human RP)

Jae picked up a piece skillfully, his fingers were light around it though it was obvious he wasn't going to drop it. Jae put that piece next to the other two fitting it into its rights place.

"Great job, Jae!" The professor praised. He added his own piece, waiting for the young boy to add his. The pattern would continue until it was built.

Jae did the sa with another and smiled, "I think of it as one of my childhood puzzles, it makes it easier..."

The professor smiled and ruffled the boy's shaggy hair. "Indeed, it does." They worked on the pot for a while, until the door creaked and Layton turned to see Alia. She was trembling violently, small tears in her hazel eyes. She was hugging her stuffed tiger tightly and looked terrified. "I-I had a- had a n-nightmare..." she whimpered.

Jae put the piece that was in his hand back on the table and walked over to her giving her a light hug. "It's okay..." he muttered into her ear.

Alia held onto Jae tightly, burying her face into his chest. "D-don't let the-the monsters g-get me, J-Jae..!"

Jae picked Alia up and carried her to the bedroom smoothing her hair, "Ssshhh, no ones going to get you here. Your mom, dad, and I are here to protect you..." Jae said as he walked. He sat on the bed still holding Alia.

Alia's grip loosened a bit, at least so she wasn't holding him until it hurt her, feeling safe in his arms. She rested her head against his chest, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath to calm herself. His scent helped her to relax and she found herself beginning to feel sleepy again...

Jae laid Aria down gently onto the bed, he laid down next to he watching her drift off to sleep.

Alia snuggled close to him, tugging the blankets up to cover the two children. She closed her eyes and murmured three words; Perhaps they were sleep-induced, or maybe she was just too tired to hold it back? Either way, there was no mistaking what she said. "I love you..." With that, she was asleep, her head resting comfortably in the crook of his neck.

Jae thought for a moment about those words. Even though she was asleep he said, "I love you too." He watched her sleep for another moment then fell asleep next to her. His arms were still wrapped around her and he was content.

"JAE!"

Alia shook the shaggy haired boy, a giddy smile lighting her face.

"Jae, get up, get up! Come ooooooon! It's SNOWING! It's really snowing, come on! Let's go play, Jae! GET UUUUUUUUP!"

"AHH! What? What's on fire?!?" Jae asked startled by the awakening. When he got out of his half asleep stage he saw Alia looking at him, "What's going on?" he asked confused what she was so happy about.


(OMG OMG OMG!!! It finally snowed in Wisconsin last Thursday!)

((lucky! we got robbed; no snow this year weh ;w;))

"It snooooowed~! Come ooooon, get uuuuup!!!" Alia got off the bed and trotted out of the room, hurrying to get her snow clothes on. Layton watched with an amused smile, a warm cup of tea cradled in his hands as he sat in front of an early morning fire, wrapped in a blanket with Claire.

Jae smiled and got out of bed following Alia. He found his and started putting them on, while he was putting his boots on he got off balance and fell on his bum.

Layton laughed lightly and Alia giggled, Claire rolling her eyes with a smile. "Are you okay?" Alia asked, getting on her knees beside him.

"Perfecty fine, but as you can see my balance is a bit off when I woke up 30 seconds ago," Har said as he stood up and held out a hand for Alia.

Alia giggled and took the help, taking his hand and standing. "come on, now, let's go play~!" she chirped happily and went to slide her gloves on. "you two be careful out there!" Layton chuckled.

"Last time I checked it was near impossible to get hurt." Jae said grabbing his hat and gloves.

Alia smiled and stood, opening the front door and out into the snow, the bright white scene making her laugh happily as she began running around, leaving foot prints in the snow. She held her arms out and fell back, laying in the cold, white powder.

"It's beautiful." she purred.

"No kidding," Jae replied sinking into the snow next to her.

IC: Alia giggled and rolled over, getting on top of Jae. "I've caught you, slave!" she said with a playful grin.

"Nooooo!!!" Jae called out before bowing at Aria's feet. "What must I do for you ma'am?" he asked playing along with her.

"You have been disobedient previously, my pet; You must be punished~." Alia purred, trying and failing to contain her laughter. "Choose your punishment."

"Ma'am I know nothing, please punish me as you wish," Jae was still in character and still at her feet playing his role.
