Fun in the rain (Human RP)

Alia nodded and held onto his arm tightly as they walked into the kitchen. The professor was staring thoughtfully into his teacup. He didn't look angry, or even upset. He just seemed... thoughtful...
He looked up at the sound of footsteps and smiled softly at them. He stood and put a hand on Alia, making her whimper.

"It's okay, Jae, Alia," He reassured gently, "I'm not going to get angry, I promise."

Jae slowly let out a breath that he hadn't realized he had been holding. He still didn't look the Professor in the eye though. It was a small fear he had, he couldn't ever look an adult in the eyes when they were talking directly to him.

(Okay..... Maybe not.... I F**king HATE School!!!!! Errrr.... Strong word in that sentence... Actually two.)

(( *huggles* it's okay bby I feel for you. Though now i'm in the Bradley school X9 so i can't say i hate my school anymore I'M SORRY! ;^; ))

The professor chuckled and sat them at the table, handing the two a cup of tea to calm them down.

"Like I said, I'm not angry, just a bit surprised," he said, stirring his tea absentmindedly, "Two shy kids in a bath together? It would tick anyone off, wouldn't it?"

He chuckled a bit, Alia turning bright red as she hid herself behind her teacup, taking a long drink from it.

(Wait, that didn't sound right, I too love my school but hate the homework! That's better!)

Jae blushed again and made an attempt to cover his eyes with his hair too. He followed Alia's example by hiding behind the teacup all while blushing even more furiously. He was relieved in the least not to be in trouble.

The professor laughed,

"You two will get yourselves sick if you don't slow down!"

As if to prove his point, Alia had to put her cup down as she started coughing. Her father moved around the table to gently rub her back, hushing her.

"Jae, I'd stop, unless you want to start choking too." he warned.

Jae swallowed his drink, "You have a point," he said as he put the teacup down and shook the hair out of his face. Meanwhile, he watched Alia to make sure she was okay.

Alia soon calmed down, a hand over her chest, as it hurt from the coughing.

"You've got to calm down some times, Alia." He hushed, kissing her cheek lightly.

She didn't say anything, too embarrassed to respond.

Jae took a sip of tea again and almost started choking on it, he coughed once and his eyes watered up, "Darn, I jinxed myself," he said outloud.

Layton chuckled a little, moving to pat his back gently.

"You two children are quite a handful, aren't you?" he said with a smile, kissing Jae's temple for a moment.

If he was their father, it was normal.

Jae flinched slightly when Layton kissed his temple like a real father would. He couldn't stop himself, even if he tried not to he still would, hopefully he would get used to it soon. After a moment Jae answered Layton, "Only when we want to be."

He laughed lightly, ruffling their hair. Alia squeaked and giggled, fixing her hair again.

"I'd prefer you'd keep being kids; That means you have to be a handful sometimes."

He smiled warmly and was about to leave but, before he left, he said,

"And I don't want to leave you two home alone and come back to find out you two knocked each other up!"

Jae stuttered, "I-I would n-never..." He glanced at Alia noticing her cheeks about the same color red as his. "Uhhhhh...." he could no longer form words. Well, so much for getting rid of the shy streak!

Alia had merely returned to downing her tea until none was left. She was blushing furiously, eyes cast down, yet her tone had a tiny note of hurt in it as she stuttered,

"You'd n-never..?"

"That's not what I meant, I wouldn't do that for a few years...." Jae looked at her his eyes apologizing.

Finding bravery somewhere, god knows where, Alia moved to sit on his lap on the chair, grinning mischievously.

"Why not~?" She purred into his ear, "Do you doubt the skills my foster parents taught me, hm~?"

Jae's breath caught in his throat as she spoke, "Alia, it's not you. I wish I could but I don't think I can. I don't want to mess up horribly," he whispered quietly.

"I'm just t-teasing, Jae..." Alia whispered, hugging him gently.

She changed her position to being curled up in the bigger man's grasp, closing her eyes comfortably.

"I love you, J-Jae..." she whispered.

Jae snuggled up to her and breathed in her scent, "I love you too. By the way your hair smells quite nice." He played with it, running his fingers through it.
