WindClan's Camp

"Anyone could, but the real question is- would you want to?" Tickfur meowed, her words suddenly seeming wise. She closed her eyes, tiled her head to the side and gave a cute smile.

Leopardfang narrowed his ears. "maybe so, maybe so. But...I could."

Tickfur sighed, smiling. "I know you didn't, I was teasing you." she said. "I know you're not mean enough to be like that."

"I didn't mean it like that!" Leopardfang mewed, with a slight growl.

"Doesn't mean you're better than everyone else!" Tickfur said and sat up straight. "I may be part Kittypet, but I've got my mothers warrior blood too!" she said.

Leopardfang nodded. "Of course I can. I wasn't made the deputy for nothing!" He joked.

Tickfur slowed to a stop and said, "Fine! You win!" she panted as she walked over to him, smiling. She got into a hunters crouch and said, "But can you beat me at hunting?"

"Oh? Really?" Leopardfang mewed, his whiskers twitching with amusement. Then he pushed off the ground with his powerful long legs, and bounded across the moor. Catching up yet again.

"Still you." Tickfur taunted and lowered herself to the ground, easily gaining speed. She never understood how she could go faster this way, but she wasn't about to complain!

Leopardfang laughed. Then raced after her, catching up easily with his long legs. "Now who's mouse-dung?"

Tickfur grinned and mewed, "Only one way to find out. Last one outta camp is mouse dung!" with that, she turned and ran away, her ears bent back and soft tail streaming out behind her.

Leopardfang nodded. "If you insist, but do you really think that you can beat the deputy?" He gave a smirk and a laugh.

Tickfur flicked her tail over his nose playfully and said, "How about we have a contest? We can see who can catch the most prey and the winner gets to eat while the loser has to carry it all back. It's helpful for the clan, and fun for us!" She circled him once and gave him a mischievous look.

Leopardfang smiled. "Oh? But we could go anywhere on the seemly-endless moor." He laughed. "I'm up for a bird or two."

Tickfur turned back to him and smiled. "Thanks." she purred and gave him a quick, friendly lick on the shoulder. "You can choose where you want to go first."

"No, no just ignore them. None of them will ever have what it takes to became leader one day. You need to respect your clan mates. Something those warriors clearly don't have. Besides, Firestar was a kittypet, and he was the greatest cat that had ever lived! We can go hunting, really." Leaopardfang mewed.

"We could go hunting then, if you'd like." Tickfur offered. "I didn't know Kittypet's could hunt!" The same warrior yelled to her and his friends laughed. She looked down. "Y-you know, never mind. I'll just embarrass you. I'm just a Kittypet." she muttered and turned to leave, listening as the group of toms continued to laugh at her.

"Just hungry." Leopardfang mewed.

Tickfur trotted over to him. "What's wrong? You look kinda down." she said and sat down, her blue eyes filled with concern. "Kittypet!" A warrior sneered. She frantically licked her fut, trying to make it look less soft and looked up again.

Leopardfang paced around camp, growling. He was hungry, and nothing exciting has happened lately. At least it was peaceful...for now anyways. He yawned, he didn't wake up until after a few hours ago. He couldn't sleep last night at all, he had no idea why though.
