Prolouge

The stars shone down on the shimmering lake. The moonlight was reflected on the stary water. A brown she-cat sat by the water's edge, while a gray tom stood in front of her.
"Hazelpool, I'm glad you came." The tom mewed. Hazelpool dipped in her head to the stary warrior.
"Rockfall, hello. Is there something Starclan has wished to share with me?" Rockfall nodded.
"Yes, about your brother." Hazelpool blinked her amber eyes with shock.
"Mudslide? Why, has he done something. Or is there something that I need to share with him?"
Rockfall sighed.
"No, none of that sort. He is loseing sight of Starclan. Hazelpool, your brother's a good cat. He really is. If we needed to tell him somehing, we would call him here, not you. Your brother is loseing sight of what is right. He is starting to forget StarClan, and that is a bad thing. Mudslide is your clan's deputy, correct?" Hazelpool nodded.
"Yes, he is. from what your saying, it's bad because if he is to be leader one day; he needs to be able to speak with StarClan." Rockfall smiled.
"Indeed he does." Rockfall began to fade away into the growing darkness; leaving Hazelpool alone. "Make sure your brother does not loose sight of us. Promise StarClan that. Promise me that." Then, he was gone.

Chapter 1

Creampaw yawned with sleep and streached out her tired limbs. She looked behind her; her mentor, Hazelpool, was still asleep. She sighed.
"I just became a Medicine Cat Apprentice recently...There's so much to learn. It's no help that my mentor is still sleeping. I can't wake up before her every single day." She flicked her tail with annoyance. "When will she ever wake up. Does she stay up late, or have trouble sleeping." She shook her head and stood up. Walking outside the medicine cat den.
"Hello sister..." A voice echoed from behind her.
"Frightpaw."
"Yes, it is I indeed."
"Yeah, I know." Creampaw mewed. "I'm not deaf, and I can tell it's you by your scent. I'm your sister Frightpaw, I should know." The cream colored tom cat snorted.
"You may, but it's no fun that you do." Frightpaw mewed. He licked his paw, deep in thought. Creampaw just sighed. Her brother was always trying to scare everybody. It wasn't very good at it though. She flicked her ears as she heard a yawn come from nearby.
"Hazelpool? Your awake." She asked. 'Finnaly.. It took her long enough...'
The brown she cat smiled. "Yes, I'm awake. Sorry to keep you waiting.”
